Gijeong raccoglie oggetti che fanno pensare a un possibile suicidio. Durante questo percorso viene fraintesa e fugge, ma riceve anche conforto da uno sconosciuto. Con quegli oggetti, dove sta andando davvero Gijeong?

Dawoon Yang: Ho trascorso molto tempo a girare intorno all’industria cinematografica, dirigendo il mio primo cortometraggio all’interno di un cineclub universitario e lavorando come assistente in diversi festival del cinema. Con il passare del tempo, ho capito che non potevo più limitarmi a restare ai margini e ho deciso di iniziare a fare film in prima persona. Ho seguito il corso “Beginner Filmmaking Project” presso Mediact e ho diretto il cortometraggio Blackout. Da allora, realizzo film insieme a persone davvero appassionate di cinema.
Dawoon Yang: I spent a lot of time circling around the film industry, directing my first short film in a university film club and working as a supporter at various film festivals. As time passed, I realized that I could no longer just linger around and decided to start making films myself. I took the “Beginner Filmmaking Project” course at Mediact and directed the short film Blackout. Since then, I’ve been making films with people who are truly passionate about cinema.

Young-eun, un’ornitologa che vive in un’area di terra bonificata sul lungomare, riceve una telefonata da Cheol-seung, rappresentante del condominio. Cheol-seung chiede a Young-eun di eseguire l’autopsia sul corpo di un uccello, e Young-eun scopre che l’animale portato da Cheol-seung è un cucchiaio dal volto nero, una specie in via di estinzione.
Young-eun, an ornithologist living in reclaimed land along the waterfront, receives a phone call from Cheol-seung, the representative of the apartment one day. Cheol-seung asks Young-eun to perform an autopsy on the bird’s body, and Young-eun finds out that the bird brought by Cheol-seung is a black-faced spoonbill, which is an endangered species.
Eunsang Ko (Incheon, 1995) è un filmmaker sudcoreano. Eunsang Ko (Incheon, 1995) is a South Korean filmmaker. His academic background forms the foundation of his artistic research, which is oriented toward exploring new visual and narrative imaginaries.

Hyowon Jang, nato/a nel 1999 a Pyeongtaek-si, in Corea del Sud, si è diplomato/a nel 2017 presso la Gyeonggi Arts High School. Nel 2018 ha iniziato i suoi studi alla Korea National University of Arts, dove continua a formarsi tuttora. La sua crescita artistica si sviluppa all’interno di un percorso accademico dedicato alle arti visive e cinematografiche, che ne sta plasmando la voce creativa e professionale.
Hyowon Jang, born in 1999 in Pyeongtaek-si, South Korea, graduated from Gyeonggi Arts High School in 2017. In 2018, he/she began studying at the Korea National University of Arts, where he/she continues to develop artistically. His/Her creative growth is shaped by an academic path dedicated to visual and cinematic arts, which is helping to define his/her emerging artistic voice.

A lonely young programmer, Vega, falls in love with a beautiful popstar water deer. They sing a song of happiness together in fantasy. The pigeons constantly drag them back into the real world, and Vega’s longing for warmth is in need of being sated.

Un bambino nato fuori dalla scultura a spirale perde il proprio frammento a causa di una ferita sul collo. Un trio che gli appare di fronte lo invita alla loro base situata sotto la scultura a spirale. Anche il pezzo perduto del bambino segue le sue tracce e, alla fine, i due si ritrovano faccia a faccia sotto la spirale in cui sono nati.
“A child born apart from the spiral sculpture loses his piece from a wound on his neck. And the trio who appear in front of him invite the child to their home base under the spiral sculpture. The lost piece of the child also follows the traces of the child and finally the two face each other under the spiral they were born in.

바깥의 너머 / Beyond the Outside di Jeong-eun Kim

Su-yeon ha un padre con problemi di mobilità. Il giorno in cui arriva la prima ondata di freddo, Su-yeon sta per partire per la gita scolastica. Mentre si dirige verso la stazione, le torna in mente una finestra che ha dimenticato di chiudere. Decide quindi di tornare a casa. Ma le chiavi sono introvabili e la porta non si apre. Su-yeon si ritrova così in un vero dilemma: andare in gita con la classe o restare per prendersi cura del padre?
Su-yeon has a father with mobility issues. The day when the first cold wave hit, Suyeon was going on her school field trip. As she heads to the train station, this window she forgot to shut crosses her mind. So, she walks back home. But the keys are nowhere to be found, and the door won’t budge. Su-yeon gets into a pickle about whether she’ll go on her school trip or stay for her father.

Dopo il diploma di laurea in Scienze dei Beni Culturali e il diploma in Pratica del Documentario a Milano, ha iniziato la sua carriera come Festival Organiser e Programmer, e co-diretto Milano Film Festival. Dedicando la carriera ai cortometraggi e all’animazione di qualsiasi durata, ha lavorato come distributrice e sales agent affiancando il lavoro di produzione per lo studio di animazione and maps and plans a Dublino. Dal 2021 ricopre il ruolo di Short Film Advisor per la Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica di Venezia – Orizzonti Corti. È Head of Animation Co-Production Market & Pitching Forum per il MIA | Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo di Roma. Nel 2025 apre la sua società di produzione Adriatic Hood.

After earning a degree in Cultural Heritage Sciences and a diploma in Documentary Practice in Milan, she began her career as a Festival Organiser and Programmer, and co-directed the Milano Film Festival. Devoting her career to short films and animation of any length, she worked as a distributor and sales agent while also supporting production work for the animation studio And Maps And Plans in Dublin. Since 2021 she has served as Short Film Advisor for the Venice International Film Festival – Orizzonti Corti. She is Head of the Animation Co-Production Market & Pitching Forum for MIA | Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo in Rome.
In 2025 she founded her production company, Adriatic Hood.
