Hilke Rönnfeldt
Hilke Rönnfeldt, born in Eastern Holstein by the Baltic Sea, graduated as a screenwriter at Alma Löv Academy in Sweden and in Film Directing at Super16 film collective in Copenhagen. Her previous short A STUDY OF EMPATHY won the Golden Leopard at Locarno FF 2023 and was a candidate for the European Film Awards 2024. With her work, she has been selected for Torino Script Lab, Berlinale Talents, Less is More, Oxbelly Episodic Lab and the European Short Pitch.Hilke Rönnfeldt, nata nell’Holstein Orientale sul Mar Baltico, si è diplomata in sceneggiatura presso l’Alma Löv Academy in Svezia e in Regia Cinematografica presso il collettivo Super16 di Copenaghen. Il suo cortometraggio A STUDY OF EMPATHY ha vinto il Pardo d’Oro al Locarno Film Festival 2023 ed è stato candidato agli European Film Awards 2024. Con il suo lavoro è stata selezionata per il Torino Script Lab, Berlinale Talents, Less is More, Oxbelly Episodic Lab e lo European Short Pitch.

BASRI & SALMA IN A NEVER-ENDING COMEDY

Basri and Salma, a husband and wife married for 5 years, own an Odong-Odong at the carnival together, spending their days entertaining and taking care of other people’s children without any of their own. Between meddling relatives, self-doubt and an explosive confrontation, they uncover why they have not been blessed with a child.Basri e Salma, marito e moglie sposati da cinque anni, gestiscono insieme un Odong-Odong al luna park, trascorrendo le loro giornate intrattenendo e prendendosi cura dei figli altrui, pur non avendone di propri. Tra parenti invadenti, insicurezze e un confronto esplosivo, scoprono il motivo per cui non sono stati benedetti con un figlio.
Khozy Rizal
Khozy Rizal is a filmmaker based in Makassar, Indonesia. He started making films in 2021 with a short film “Makassar is a City for Football Fans” and screened at Sundance, BFI Flare and several film festivals. In 2023, he made a short film titled “Basri & Salma in a Never-ending Comedy” which had its world premiere at the 76th Cannes Film Festival and was the first Indonesian short film that is eligible to compete for Palme d’Or for short film.Khozy Rizal è un regista che vive a Makassar, in Indonesia. Ha esordito nel 2021 con il cortometraggio “Makassar is a City for Football Fans”, presentato al Sundance, al BFI Flare e in diversi festival cinematografici. Nel 2023 ha realizzato un cortometraggio intitolato “Basri & Salma in a Never-ending Comedy”, che ha avuto la sua anteprima mondiale alla 76ª edizione del Festival di Cannes ed è stato il primo cortometraggio indonesiano ammesso a concorrere per la Palma d’Oro nella categoria cortometraggi.

But the law is formal: only the father can sign the transfer paper. And Ahmed’s father disappeared years ago.Marocco. Naima, madre single, vive con il figlio Ahmed, 11 anni, in una baraccopoli. Quando lo Stato decide di assegnare loro una nuova casa, Ahmed deve cambiare scuola. Ma la legge è chiara: solo il padre può firmare il documento di trasferimento. E il padre di Ahmed è scomparso anni fa.

Dopo diversi documentari (Shakespeare in Casablanca (2016) e L7sla – The Dead End (2019)), Sonia debutta nell’ambito della fiction con il suo Paradise Garden (2025).

The trans throuple soon realizes that they are dealing with more than they were prepared for and their ability to survive the event comes into question.Rhys, che cerca sempre di piacere a tutti, si ritrova alla festa per la rivelazione del sesso del suo capo con i suoi due partner. Il trio trans si rende presto conto di avere a che fare con qualcosa di più di quello a cui erano preparati e la loro capacità di sopravvivere all'evento viene messa in discussione.
Mo Matton
Mo Matton is a trans filmmaker based in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal. They previously co-directed Swarm of Selenium (2017) and Fly Away With Me (2021), two short films created with collectives. Gender Reveal is their first solo directorial film. They are an IFFR Sessions alumni and past participant of the artist residency District* (Berlin).Mo Matton è un regista trans con sede a Tiohtià:ke/Montreal. In precedenza ha co-diretto Swarm of Selenium (2017) e Fly Away With Me (2021), due cortometraggi creati con dei collettivi. Gender Reveal è il suo primo film da regista solista. È un alumni di IFFR Sessions e hanno partecipato in passato alla residenza d'artista District* (Berlino).
