A 60-year-old woman, hypersensitive to electromagnetic waves, lives in isolation in the countryside. Her solitary routine is disrupted when a 30-year-old nomadic young woman occupies the only neighboring house. An unexpected bond begins to take shape as they build a stone wall between the houses.Una donna di 60 anni, ipersensibile alle onde elettromagnetiche, vive isolata in campagna. La sua routine solitaria viene sconvolta quando una giovane nomade di 30 anni si trasferisce nell’unica casa vicina. Mentre costruiscono un muro di pietra tra le due abitazioni, tra loro inizia a nascere un legame inaspettato.
Luisa Mello
Luisa Mello (b. 1989) is a Lisbon-based filmmaker. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Performing Arts and Moving Image at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon, and holds a Master’s degree in Documentary Filmmaking from the DocNomads Joint Master (Portugal/Hungary/Belgium). Her work as a director, cinematographer, and editor has been awarded and screened at international festivals such as Rotterdam, Bogoshorts, Vienna Shorts, Rio International Film Festival, IndieLisboa, Sheffield Doc/Fest, and Ji.hlava.Luisa Mello (nata nel 1989) è una regista che vive a Lisbona. Attualmente sta conseguendo un dottorato di ricerca in Arti dello spettacolo e immagini in movimento presso la Facoltà di Belle Arti dell’Università di Lisbona e ha conseguito un master in Regia di documentari nell’ambito del Master congiunto DocNomads (Portogallo/Ungheria/Belgio). Il suo lavoro come regista, direttrice della fotografia e montatrice è stato premiato e proiettato in festival internazionali quali Rotterdam, Bogoshorts, Vienna Shorts, il Festival Internazionale del Cinema di Rio, IndieLisboa, Sheffield Doc/Fest e Ji.hlava.

Teresa Juksaar
Teresa Juksaar is a young film director from Tallinn, Estonia. In 2017, she enrolled at the Sarajevo Film Academy and later continued her studies at the Baltic Film, Media and Arts School (BFM), graduating in 2022 with a degree in film directing. Her student film, The King, won the national competition at PÖFF Shorts (2021) and the Oslo Film Festival (2021). Teresa draws creative inspiration from the absurdities of everyday life. Her biggest inspiration is her grandmother, who believed that the ability to find humor in all kind of moments is key to surviving life’s challenges.Teresa Juksaar è una giovane regista di Tallinn, Estonia. Nel 2017 si è iscritta alla Sarajevo Film Academy e ha poi proseguito gli studi alla Baltic Film, Media and Arts School (BFM), laureandosi nel 2022 in regia cinematografica. Il suo film studentesco, The King, ha vinto la competizione nazionale ai PÖFF Shorts (2021) e all’Oslo Film Festival (2021). Teresa trae ispirazione creativa dalle assurdità della vita quotidiana. La sua più grande fonte di ispirazione è sua nonna, che credeva che la capacità di trovare l’umorismo in ogni tipo di momento fosse la chiave per superare le sfide della vita.

Beyond the Outside

Su-yeon has a father with mobility issues. The day when the first cold wave hit, Suyeon was going on her school field trip. As she heads to the train station, this window she forgot to shut crosses her mind. So, she walks back home. But the keys are nowhere to be found, and the door won’t budge. Su-yeon gets into a pickle about whether she’ll go on her school trip or stay for her father.Su-yeon ha un padre con problemi di mobilità. Il giorno in cui arriva la prima ondata di freddo, Su-yeon sta per partire per la gita scolastica. Mentre si dirige verso la stazione, le torna in mente una finestra che ha dimenticato di chiudere. Decide quindi di tornare a casa. Ma le chiavi sono introvabili e la porta non si apre. Su-yeon si ritrova così in un vero dilemma: andare in gita con la classe o restare per prendersi cura del padre?

Ari Lamadrid is a director, producer, and editor based in Colombia, interested in genre films and intimate narratives. Ari works as a producer in El Sofoco Cine and has been part of the production and directing teams for numerous short films selected for national and international film festivals. More recently she served as executive producer on the queer horror short film Grace comes crashing, selected in PÖFF Shorts 2026. The Runaways, her first short film as a director and screenwriter, has been selected in more than 20 festivals around the world.Ari Lamadrid è una regista, produttrice e montatrice con sede in Colombia, interessata ai film di genere e alle narrazioni intime. Ari lavora come produttrice presso El Sofoco Cine e ha fatto parte dei team di produzione e regia di numerosi cortometraggi selezionati per festival cinematografici nazionali e internazionali. Più recentemente ha ricoperto il ruolo di produttrice esecutiva nel cortometraggio horror queer *Grace comes crashing*, selezionato al PÖFF Shorts 2026. *The Runaways*, il suo primo cortometraggio come regista e sceneggiatrice, è stato selezionato in oltre 20 festival in tutto il mondo.
